The second pregnancy trimester starts from the 13th week to the 28th week. One of the best things about the second trimester is that you no longer experience morning sickness. However in certain cases morning sickness last for a prolong preiod.You will start to feel more in control of your body and have more energy after your first trimester.
During this time all the organs of your baby will start growing and improving their activities. The umbilical cord thickens to carry oxygen and nourishment to the fetus. Other people will begin to notice that you are pregnant as your belly start to grow.
On the forth month of Second Trimester, the fetus is fully formed and looks much more human.The muscles are developing, so the baby moves much more. For some, a very important moment can happen in the second trimester, the identification of the child’s sex. Teeth are beginning to form in his gums and finger and toe nails are more definite. Many women will feel the movement of their baby during the closing of the fourth month. If movement is not felt by the 20th to 22nd weeks, a doctor may perform an ultrasound to confirm the age of the fetus and the due date. At the end of the fifth months of the second trimester the baby full formed and look like a miniature human. Women may have aches in their lower abdomen, as well as along their sides. This is caused by the stretching of ligaments that support the uterus. Swelling of the face and hands may also occur.Light exercise, good personal hygiene, nutritive diet adds to the healthy growth of the baby at this stage.
